My background is in the Fine Arts, I am a Studio Potter. Working with clay and working with the body’s musculature are one and the same. Whether you are throwing a pot on a wheel or standing upright you are ultimately finding balance between the external and internal forces of a body.In Pottery when there is balance the pot stands upright, with the human body when there is balance your body can heal and you may even feel ease of movement. I love working with my hands and I believe that there is healing through massage therapy,so now my journey has taken me from that of a Studio Potter to that of a Licensed Massage Therapist(LMT).
Currently I live in Illinois, where I have been practicing Therapeutic massage therapy for over seven (7) years. In (2004), I graduated from Wellness and Massage Training Institute in Woodridge, Il. Where I received training on many different bodywork modalities from Deep Tissue to Esalen Massage. I believe that choosing a massage therapist is a very important decision. I also believe that exceptionally relaxing bodywork is paramount. You are your own best advocate of your body and well being. It is important for my client and myself have honest communication and I will do my best to create an enviroment that is geared towards healing and understanding of your medical issues. All practices are ethical and within the guidelines as set forth for a Licensed Massage Therapist. In addition, together we will develop a customized program that deals with your health and lifestyle concerns. I will try to be as flexible as possible and schedule your session at a time that is best for your busy life.
